I began this blog in summer 2010 to track the sessions for my then-latest album The 2010 Project. I posted updates, images, and sound files during the process of recording what ended up being my most ambitious solo album. Then, the blog portion of this site lay dormant between the album’s release in July 2011 and July 2014. I’ve continued updating my discography, live performance, and other pages, but it seems to me that the point of a blog is to, well, blog on a regular basis. (Is that a verb now?)
So, in short, I’m back with a variety of purposes this time around. First, I’ll be posting a series of entries reviewing the projects I’ve begun and/or completed in the past three years. Then, I’ll post regularly on my current work as I deem it worthy of the effort for me to type and you to read. Some will be music-related, such as the DryKnuckle BedHeads sessions planned for later this month and early August. However, most of my recent independent work has been written — poetry, stories, and, of course, an incomplete novel draft — so I’ll be opening this blog to posts beyond the boundaries of music.
